Westminster Employability Award: Platinum

The Westminster Employability Award (WEA) is an employability achievement award, designed to help students gain formal recognition for the extracurricular activities they take part in during their time as a University of Westminster student. The Platinum level is highest level of the Westminster Employability Award, and recognises those who go above and beyond to take part in a wide range of activities across the University of Westminster, demonstrating outstanding commitment to their personal and professional development.

To complete the Platinum level, students may have taken part in a range of activities, including:

  • Engaging with a wealth of activities during their time as a student, including work experiences, key employability initiatives offered by the university, voluntary programmers, skills workshops, training opportunities, and more

  • Gaining and demonstrating confidence in various settings, such as at event, during employability programmes, or during their academic studies

  • Completing activities as part of a 'Pitch Yourself' series, to reflect on their experiences, to increase self-awareness, and to build communication and public speaking skills

  • Committing to support others by offering feedback on the programme and suggesting new and innovative ideas to improve employability offerings at the UoW

  • Demonstrating outstanding commitment to their personal and professional development
