Westminster Employability Award: Postgraduate Gold

The Westminster Employability Award (WEA) is an employability achievement award, designed to help students gain formal recognition for the extracurricular activities they take part in during their time as a University of Westminster student. Students are awarded the Westminster Employability Award for demonstrating commitment to their personal and professional development.

Exclusive to postgraduate students those who complete the Postgraduate Gold level may have taken part in a range of activities, including:

  • Engaging with multiple activities to enhance their skill set, to gain industry awareness, and to complete formal training relevant to the workplace

  • Gaining valuable experience, including work experience (internships, work placements, insight days, or part-time jobs) or experiences at the UoW such as engaging with Student Union activities, acting as a Course Representative, leading societies, and much more

  • Reflecting on their experiences to gain a better understanding of their personal development and taking initiative to overcome challenges

  • Attending multiple events, such as skills workshops, training days, networking events, and more

  • Practicing research skills and considering next steps for employment or further study
